2006

 

Venerable Mahanoeun traveled throughout Cambodia in Spring 2006 to access needs and oversee Khmer Buddhist Relief projects.

In 2006, KBR passed out 25 tons of rice, constructed 112 wells and 1 reservoir, finished construction of 3 schools, built 3 more homes for the needy, planted sapplings, and again provided sewing, English and computer classes.

wells and reservoirs

KBR constructed a reservoir and 112 wells at an average cost of $165 per well.

schools

Construction of three schools were completed in 2006: two in Oudar Meanchey at a total cost of $4000, and one in Preah Vihear at a cost of $3000. Ten new students were admitted to the sewing class.

Three homes were built: one for an elderly couple, one for a severely handicapped man and his family, one for an impoverished widow and her children.
